Nippers Nursery Newsletter Autumn 2016

This term the nurseries will be covering harvest, winter as well having some fun with Halloween and dare I say it Christmas!! There are plenty of parties and trips planned over the coming months leading up to Christmas therefore I have listed as many dates as we can below and any ad hoc days out your room seniors will advise you of these nearer the time such as trip to Winter Wonderland etc

The Nippers Parent Committee met on October 11th to discuss plans and ideas for the future. The committee is delighted to have a healthy bank balance and would be delighted to hear from both the Nippers team & parents on how this money should be spent across the nurseries. Please email [email protected] to share any ideas – all ideas welcome! A massive thank you to all the parents who attended – the existing committee were really pleased to see so many new people! More detailed minutes will follow in a week or so!

The nursery in Dalmeny was due to be painted over the summer however this was delayed as our lovely landlord decided to replace some of the windows with the rest being done next year. The painting will now take place over the coming few weeks before the winter sets in. The painting will be done during the day out with peak drop off and collection hours therefore car parking should not be affected.

We have now launched a new website www.nippersnursery.com would be lovely if you can take a look. We will be populating it over the coming few months with more information and plan to have a parent page which will be private this will allow us to share dates for diary and newsletters etc. If you would like to see anything else added please let us know. Hannah Beaton will be in the nurseries in October to take photos of the children. If you wish your child to have photos with their siblings just see Janice or myself and we can arrange an appropriate time for you to bring them in, likewise if your child does not attend nursery on these dates you can arrange to bring them in to either nursery too!

Dalmeny – Tuesday 25th October 2016
Kirkliston – Thursday 27th October 2016

I am delighted to announce that we have appointed a new manager for our nursery in Kirkliston and Janice Robertson will remain in Dalmeny. Our new manager Tracy Sloan joins us with an extensive management background having managed Wee Gems Nursery in Broxburn for over 8 years and another nursery in Larbert for the last 2 years. Tracy will start with us on Tuesday 25th October and hope you get a chance to meet with her and welcome her to the Nippers Team.

We have had a few moves and shakes over the last few weeks and said a few goodbyes I have listed the new teams below for your information with not too many changes:

Christmas Closure last day at nursery 23rd December and we reopen on Wednesday 4th January 2017 for another year filled with fun!
